DAY 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou – Dades Valley

After breakfast at your accommodation in the vibrant city of Marrakech, your private driver-guide will pick you up around 07:30 AM to begin your unforgettable 3-day desert tour to Fes. Cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, offering panoramic views and snow-covered peaks during the winter. Along the way, you will pass through the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass at an altitude of 2,260 meters before arriving at the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient kasbahs and use in famous films.
After lunch near Ait Benhaddou, continue toward the beautiful Dades Valley, passing through Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Here, you may choose to stop and explore the renowned Atlas Film Studios before heading to your accommodation for the night in the heart of the valley.
DAY 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

Following breakfast, travel towards the Sahara, stopping to admire the dramatic Todra Gorge, where towering limestone cliffs offer a stunning setting for walking and photography. This natural wonder attracts climbers and nature lovers from across the globe.
Continue through Erfoud, a town famous for its fossils and bustling date market. Once in Merzouga, meet your camel caravan for a scenic ride across the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi just in time to watch the sun dip below the horizon. Upon arrival at your desert camp, enjoy a warm welcome with traditional mint tea and Moroccan pastries.
Savor a delicious dinner under the stars or in a cozy dining tent, followed by traditional Berber music played by local drummers. Spend the night in a comfortable en-suite tent in the heart of the Sahara.
DAY 3: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

Wake early to witness a spectacular Sahara sunrise from the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, journey north through the lush Ziz Valley, where you can pause for scenic photos. Continue to Midelt, nestled in the Middle Atlas and famous for its apple orchards.
Later, pass through the cedar forests of Azrou, home to wild Barbary macaques, before stopping in the picturesque town of Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco.” You’ll arrive in the cultural city of Fes by the late afternoon, marking the end of your enriching desert journey.
