Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Start your adventure early from Fes with your private guide and head south toward the Sahara. Your first stop is Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its alpine-style architecture. Continue through the Middle Atlas cedar forests where you may spot Barbary macaques.
After lunch in Midelt, cross the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains and admire the scenic Ziz Valley. Arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara where you’ll be welcomed with traditional mint tea. Enjoy dinner and overnight at a cozy riad near the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Day 2: Merzouga Exploration & Camel Trek

Wake up early to witness a magical Sahara sunrise from atop a sand dune. After breakfast and a refreshing shower, set off to explore the region. Discover the ingenious underground water system called Khettaras and visit the village of Khamlia to enjoy live Gnawa music performed by descendants of Sub-Saharan tribes.
Meet a nomadic family for tea and cultural exchange, then return for a camel trek into the dunes. Watch the sunset before spending a serene night in a luxury desert camp under the stars.
Day 3: Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

After breakfast, journey westward with a brief stop in Erfoud, famous for its fossils and date palms. Continue to the dramatic Todra Gorge, a towering canyon popular among climbers. Stretch your legs before heading to the lush Dades Valley for dinner and overnight in a traditional riad.
Day 4: Dades – Nomads – Skoura – Ouarzazate

Leave Dades Valley after breakfast, stopping in Ait Boutaghrar to meet a nomadic family in their mountain cave. Drive through the Valley of Roses and visit the historic Kasbah Amredil in Skoura. Arrive in Ouarzazate, known for its famous Atlas Studios where iconic films like Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven were shot. Overnight in a local hotel.
Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Your final day begins with a visit to the ancient Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that’s served as a film set for numerous Hollywood productions. After a guided tour, continue over the majestic Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains.
Arrive in Marrakech by the evening, where your driver will drop you off at your accommodation — marking the end of an unforgettable Moroccan desert journey.
